Dear Rosie I am always baffled when I do business with Teljoy! The professionalism, enthusiasm and reaction-time of your staff is so amazing that it almost borders on disbelief. In a very short space of time I have received three e-mails, four telephone calls and as we speak, the TV is on route to me. Unheard off!!! Thank you so much and congratulations! You have an amazing team.

As many of you might know, Multichoice will be offering an IPTV solution going forward. This solution will be a viable option especially for the hospitality industry as for the first time, it will be possible to create a multicast stream within a Hotel environment over a CAT 5/CAT 6 network deployment. The huge advantage of this is that all the channels remain in their respective digital state thus no picture qualtiy degradation will take place and HD channels will be available for the guests. In addition to this, VOD can be added to the infrastucture. One of the challenges in the past was the encryption status over the network. Some players adopted to use standard decoders to decrypt the channels and then recapture them onto servers to then multicast them on a network. This method obviously has quality limitations. Multichoice has not allowed mulitcast solutions of their digital streams as the channels were being stripped off their IRDETO encryption at the Head End thus allowing an unencrypted stream on the network. This would allow for anyone with a laptop and some PC savvy to capture the pure digital streams.... Therefore, Multichoice have now released an IPTV solution which keeps the IRDETO encryption on the network right up to the final viewing point. A new set top box (UEC) will then decrypt the incoming signals.
WHat do you think about this solution and would you be inclined to go for such a system? Let us chat about it!
